The influence of dynamical friction on the collapse of spherical density pertubation

چکیده
We solve numerically the equations of motion for the collapse of a shell of baryonic matter falling into the central regions of a cluster of galaxies. taking into account of the presence of the substructure inducing dynamical friction. The evolution of the expansion parameter a(t) of the perturbation is calculated in spherical systems. The effect of dynamical friction is to reduce the binding radius and the toatal mass accreted by the central regions. Using a peak density profile given by Bardeen et al. (1986) we show how the binding radius of the perturbation is modified by dinamical friction. We show how dynamical friction modifies the collapse parameter of the perturbation slowing down the collapse. To be published: Memorie della Società Astronomica Italiana

Some improvements to the spherical collapse model
I study the joint effect of dynamical friction, tidal torques and cosmological constant on clusters of galaxies formation. I show that within high-density environments, such as rich clusters of galaxies, both dynamical friction and tidal torques slows down the collapse of low-ν peaks producing an observable variation in the time of collapse of the perturbation and, as a consequence, a reduction...

We study the joint effect of tidal torques and dynamical friction on the collapse of density peaks solving numerically the equations of motion of a shell of barionic matter falling into the central regions of a cluster of galaxies. We calculate the evolution of the expansion parameter, a(t), of the perturbation using a coefficient of dynamical friction ηcl obtained from a clustered system and t...

We solve numerically the equations of motion for the collapse of a shell of baryonic matter, made of galaxies and substructure of 10M⊙−10M⊙, falling into the central regions of a cluster of galaxies taking account of dynamical friction. We calculate the evolution of the expansion parameter, a(t), of the perturbation using a coefficient of dynamical friction, η0, calculated for a perturbation in...

A new procedure for deriving nonlinear mathematical modeling for a specific class of aerospace hydro - mechanical control valves is presented. The effects of friction on the dynamic behavior of these types of valves along with the experimental verifictions are also given. The modeling approach is based on the combination of the following three tasks: decomposition of the valve into simple speci...
متن کاملA New Result on the Dynamical Symmetry of Spherical Collapse
A dynamical symmetry for spherical collapse has been studied using a linear transformation of the initial data set (mass and kinetic energy function) and the area radius. With proper choice of the initial area radius, the evolution as well as the physical parameters namely energy density and shear remain invariant both initially and at any time instant. Finally, it is found that the final outco...
